Angelina Jolie is set to auction her rare 1958 Ferrari 250 GT at Christie’s “Exceptional Sale” in Paris on November 20. This classic black Ferrari, originally showcased at the 1958 Paris Motor Show, is the 11th of only 353 models ever built. It features a powerful 12-cylinder, 240-horsepower engine with advanced Weber carburetors.
Though initially painted white and blue, the car was reportedly repainted black in 1978, and the original black interior was changed to red. The Ferrari has been well-preserved, retaining its original engine, but with unclear details regarding its full history and usage. With an estimated auction value ranging from €600,000 to €800,000, the car will be on public display at Christie’s Paris showroom on November 14, 16, and 20.
Despite a recent decline in the market for collectible cars, the vintage Ferrari still remains a desirable item for collectors, especially given its connection to a Hollywood star. This auction highlights Christie’s ongoing efforts to diversify its offerings amid a cooling art market, following its acquisition of the automotive auction house Gooding & Co.
